Book Week Success
Once again, we were absolutely blown away by our students' wonderful engagement during Book Week. As educators, we are deeply passionate about literacy and the magic of books. It is such a joy to share a story with a class and witness the students immerse themselves in the narrative. Upcoming Student Free Day
A quick reminder that next Friday, 30th August, is a Student Free Day. If you require care for your child on that day, School Plus has places available.
Father’s Day Stall
We are excited to announce our Father’s Day Stall will be held next Wednesday and Thursday. The timetable for classes is provided below, along with a list of the wonderful items available for purchase. Children can bring cash, or EFTPOS is available. All proceeds will support our Student Council. A big thank you to our P&C executive for their generous donation towards this initiative.
Parking Safety
We have noticed some instances of unsafe parking in our car park. For the safety of all, we have contacted the Police to conduct patrols. If you observe any concerning driving behaviour, we encourage you to report it to QPS. Thank you to all the parents who have already brought this to our attention.

- Monday: Book Fair in the library.
- Tuesday: Book Fair in the library. Strings at 7:50am. Running Club at 8:30 am on the oval.
- Wednesday: Book Fair in the library. Father's Day Stall. Junior Choir practice - second break. Uniform Shop open 2.30 to 3.15pm. AFL Auskick & Superkick on the oval
- Thursday: Book Fair in the library. Father's Day Stall. Touch Football training on the oval 7.45am. Running Club at 8:30 am on the oval. Little Jets playgroup 9 - 10.45am in BASE.
- Friday: Student Free Day - no school
We also have Breakfast Club every morning!

Expectation of the Week
Wellbeing Worker
Hi, my name is Katherine, and I am the new Student Wellbeing Worker. I will be at Amberley District SS on Mondays and Tuesdays supporting students and providing wellbeing programs and activities. I have worked with young people for over 5 years and thoroughly enjoy connecting with young people and working alongside them to achieve their goals. My favourite things to do are building Lego, colouring in and playing on my Nintendo Switch. I also enjoy exploring new places, exercising and practicing mindfulness. I look forward to meeting you all in the coming weeks!
School Attendance
Our School attendance rate is currently 89.6%. Our goal is 95%.
Our students have officially named our new attendance awards Welcome to the family Sunny and Benny (as in sunny side up and eggs benedict)
Please contact your year level Deputy Principal, if you need support with attendance at school. Unexplained absence letters are deployed twice a term. You can update attendance through the QParents app.
