Friday Flash Week 6 - 8th of November, 2024
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
A Big Thank You to Our Parent Representative Group
Thank you to all the parents who attended our Parent Representative Group meeting yesterday to discuss adjustments to the Student Code of Conduct. Once we finalise these edits, we’ll share the updated document with you.
As part of our commitment to supporting students, we have introduced a social and emotional learning program called the PAUSE Program, based on positive psychology principles. I've attached the parent information booklet for your reference. This program will be taught through the Health Curriculum and the Respectful Relationships program, enhancing our Positive Behaviour for Learning framework to increase student engagement and achievement across the school.
Uniform Reminder
We’d like to remind parents about our school uniform expectations, available on the school's website. Please ensure that:
- Students do not wear jewellery to school.
- Hair is tied back.
- Bike shorts are not part of the uniform unless worn under a dress or skirt.
Remembrance Day Commemoration
Our Remembrance Day Commemoration will be held on Monday at 10:50 am, and all are welcome to attend. You may have noticed our participation in the "Draw to Remember" initiative this year, with a beautiful chalk drawing displayed along our Library building. A huge thank you to Miss Krystina and Miss Megan for organising this!
School Carparking
To enhance road safety around our school, we have sought assistance from Queensland Police to actively monitor parking and traffic behaviours in our school zones. Their support aims to promote safe and compliant practices, ensuring that all families and children can navigate the area safely during peak times. This collaboration reinforces our commitment to a safe environment and helps address any ongoing concerns with parking and traffic flow.
Have a great week!
Kelli Harvey
Principal
