Friday Flash Week 4 - 21st February, 2025
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Thank you to everyone who attended Skate Night on Wednesday! It was a fantastic family event, and we’re thrilled to share that we raised $500 for the Student Council. We have some very impressive skaters in our school community, and I’m proud to say that this time, I didn’t fall over! 😊
School Leaders Representing Our School
This week, our school leaders did us proud by representing our school at the 2025 Ipswich Civics Program. They demonstrated outstanding leadership and engagement while learning about civic responsibilities and the role of local government. Well done to our leaders for being such fantastic ambassadors for our school!
PE Requirements
With the weather still quite warm, it’s important that all children bring a hat and water bottle each day, including for their PE lessons. Please ensure these items are packed in your child’s bag each morning. If you need to purchase a hat, they are available through the uniform shop via the QKR! app.
Flashtastic Fridays
Our Flashtastic Friday afternoons have been a great success! We’ve seen improvements in student engagement, behaviour, effort in class, and even attendance. It’s wonderful to see our students thriving in this program.
Lockdown Drill
Today, we conducted a lockdown drill, and we’re pleased to report that it went smoothly. Our students and staff followed procedures exceptionally well. These drills are an important part of ensuring that, in the event of an emergency, our students know how to stay safe.
Thank you for your ongoing support!
Kind Regards,
Kelli Harvey
Principal

School Attendance

Our School attendance rate is currently 93.6%. Our goal is 95%.
Students who have 95% or above attendance each term will receive a SOARING attendance certificate.
Please contact your year level Deputy Principal, if you need support with attendance at school. Unexplained absence letters are deployed twice a term. You can update attendance through the QParents app.
Congratulations to Prep D and 5B for winning our attendance eggs this week!
