Friday Flash Week 10 - 4th April, 2025
From the Principal
Dear Parents and Carers,
Well, that’s a wrap for Term 1!
We finished the term on a high note with an action-packed week, including the Colour Run, Cross Country, Swimming, and our Celebration of Learning sessions. A big thank you to all the parents and caregivers who came along and supported these events – your involvement makes such a difference. Our students enjoyed a visit from the Easter Bunny today at parade.
Looking ahead to Term 2, we’ll be putting a strong focus on reading, in line with the Department of Education’s new reading agenda. You can find more information about this initiative attached below.
Our ANZAC Day Parade will be held on Thursday, 24 April at 9:00am. All are welcome to attend. Our school has a long-standing tradition of holding a respectful and meaningful ANZAC service. Please note that this year, there will be no service at Leichhardt on ANZAC Day itself. We are exploring alternative options for student participation in community services for next year.
On behalf of all the staff, have a safe and restful holiday, and a Happy Easter to all who celebrate.
We look forward to seeing you all back on Tuesday, 22 April for the first day of Term 2!
Kind Regards,
Kelli Harvey
Principal
