From the Principal
Dear Parents and Caregivers,
Well, that’s Term 3 finished! We wrapped up with a fantastic week celebrating Amberley District students soaring in sport and at our end-of-term Celebration of Learning.
We were also proud to present 250 students with Soaring Attendance Certificates for Term 3. To receive a certificate, students need an attendance rate of 95% or above for the term. QParents is a great way to keep track of your child’s attendance.
Game Changer Program
Our Year 4, 5 and 6 students had the privilege of working with rugby league superstar Ali Brigginshaw as part of the Westpac Game Changer Program.
The program focused on goal setting and wellbeing, with a little footy fun added in! Our students absolutely loved this opportunity to learn from such a great role model.
Mental Health Week
The first week back of Term 4 is Mental Health Week. Students will be exploring positive strategies to support their mental health.
We will finish the week with our annual Funky Feet Friday – children can wear their favourite fun socks to school!
Grandparents Day
We are excited to be celebrating Grandparents Day on Friday 24 October, 1:45–3:00pm.
Grandparents will be able to:
Join their grandchildren in class
See some of our recent upgrades around the school
Take part in fun activities
Enjoy food and drinks available for purchase
This will be a truly Flashtastic Friday event!
Tuckshop Refurbishment
We have just been advised that our tuckshop refurbishment will begin on Monday.
The project will run through all of Term 4, with completion expected on the final day of term.
While works are underway, tuckshop will operate from the base kitchen on a scaled-back menu.
There will be one hot food special each day and a sausage sizzle each Friday (first break only).
Drinks, snacks and ice blocks will still be available at second break.
Please note: Tuckshop will be closed for the first few days of Term 4 to get organised but will reopen on Friday of Week 1.
The uniform shop will not be affected.
We appreciate your understanding during this time. The tuckshop will be back better than ever once the refurbishment is complete!
Principal’s Leave
I will be on leave in Week 1 of Term 4. Leisa Cave will be Acting Principal, supported by Barb Christie and Cas Whitley as Deputy Principals.

What an incredible effort from our Amberley District State School futsal teams at the recent Bremer SHS Futsal Competition!

This is a fantastic achievement and a true reflection of our students’ teamwork, skill, and determination.

Please contact your year level Deputy Principal, if you need support with attendance at school. Unexplained absence letters are deployed twice a term. You can update attendance through the QParents app.

Enrolments for 2026 at Bremer State High School are now open. Online applications are preferred, but paper copies are available if needed.
